Celebrating 10 Years of Crying Over Pros For No Reason
We are celebrating the 10-year anniversary of edIT's seminal 2004 debut album "Crying Over Pros for No Reason" with the release of 5 new original bonus tracks available in digital and vinyl format. 10 years ago, a movement in sound paved the way for The Glitch Mob we all know today. We hope you enjoy the music and are thankful to continue this journey with you all. From edIT: "Many of you have come up to me at shows or hit me up online with nothing but love for this record. It gives me great joy to know that this record has touched people in a positive way. Many people have asked me why I never wrote another record like this. I always felt that if I couldn't top it or if I couldn't say more, then it was best left alone. Crying Over Pros was a moment in time. It's the magic when you're a baby artist that can never be replicated again in your career. It was created long before the era of social media and viral internet stardom. This was just pure vibes that were created in a little vacuum in South Central Los Angeles free from the influence of the public internet forum and outside world. And for that reason, I just wanted to preserve it the way that it was. It was purity. It was honesty. And it gives me great pride and joy to wrap up my "solo career" as edIT with this 10 year anniversary edition of Crying Over Pros. I never in a million years would have thought that these songs would travel so far. 10 years ago I was just grateful that Mike Paradinas (µ-Ziq) would just take a chance on a young American musician and release the music on Planet-Mu. Today, I am proud, humbled and honored that YOU all have helped make this album the cult classic that it has become" You can help with this campaign by schedule a post with your own thoughts about the album and how it's impacted your life over the last 10 years. All posts will launch on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Thanks for your help supporting this release. We are The Mob.
